Assimilation and dissemination of information on rural development is another important activity. This can be done through publication and distribution of technical Literature containing information useful to the rural people. For this purpose, all communication media such as leaflets, brochures, filmstrips, video films and other audio visual aids are used. To promote these activities some of the approaches, which are to be adopted are as follows:-
i. Providing information through exhibitions at village Extension Centres.
ii. Organising youth clubs, mahila, farmer’s club etc.
iii. Organising special exhibitions, community workshops, seminars, etc. in villages.
iv. Using mass media like video films, films, radio& television networks etc.
v. Organising technical pilgrimages, demonstration camps, mobile technology exhibitions etc.
vi. Dissemination of information to end-users and other Community Polytechnics may also be through various media.
